"Welcome to the Assiniboine Golf Club"

An eighteen hole course by design, the Assiniboine Golf Club was established in 1917. War time runway requirements in the early forties reduced the course to nine holes. Some creative engineering added eighteen different tee box locations and three additional greens to complete the course you see today.

The course is a Par 72 and plays to 6348 yards from the Blue Pro tees to 6167 yards from the Regular White ( front nine ) and Red ( back nine ) tees. The course includes four Par 3's, one a challenging 242 yards in length and four par 5's. Sand, water and trees, all the things you love to hate in a golf course are here. The Assiniboine Golf Course provides an interesting challenge for the beginner to the seasoned golfer a like, and just minutes away from the Winnipeg International Airport.

Some improvements to our course is presently under way. We feel these improvements will make your golfing a pleasurable experience. Some recent improvements include overseeding, additional irrigation, deweeding, landscaping, sodding, leveling and extension of some cart paths. We have just completed some changes and improvements to four of our greens.

We believe these and other projects that are planned for the coming seasons will make our course an even
better facility. The board and membership is committed to an ongoing program of improvements during the coming years.

The clubhouse offers a licensed restaurant that is opened year round. Our catering capabilities allow you to host barbecues to banquets or meetings of up to 135 people. Obviously, golf tournaments, big or small are welcome, particularly when sponsored by a club member.

Our Pro is Dale Esopenko. He and his staff offer lessons, golf cart rentals, as well as his well known Pro Shop in the lower level. All the golf equipment and accessories one can imagine are available here, and at competitive prices too! The lower level is also where our newly renovated locker and shower facilities are located. Club storage is also available upon request.

Relax and enjoy a round of golf with friends, family or another member of the club. The club offers Junior programs, Ladies events, Scrambles, Beat the Pro or Skins nights. For the low handicapper Mundle Putter offers the opportunity to represent our club against other clubs in a weekly competitive golf event. You can choose, as all is available at the Assiniboine Golf Club.
