Golf Course

Established in 1917 the Assiniboine Golf Club is one of Winnipeg’s oldest courses and has a long rich history of golf and has produced some of Manitoba’s greatest amateur golfers. Originally an eighteen hole course by design, the Assiniboine Golf Club during the early forties was reduced to nine holes to assist with War time  expansion of the runways and airport. Some unique creative design added eighteen different tee box locations and three additional greens to complete the course you see today.

The course is a Par 72 and plays to 6348 yards from the Blue Pro tees to 6167 yards from the Regular White ( front nine ) and Red ( back nine ) tees. The course includes four Par 3’s, one a challenging 242 yards in length and four par 5’s. Sand, water and trees, all the things you love to hate in a golf course are here and all the things you love too with friendly easy going service, welcoming atmosphere, great greens and fairways and loads of fun! The way golf should be! The Assiniboine Golf Course provides an interesting challenge for the beginner to the seasoned golfer alike, and is located just minutes away from the Winnipeg International Airport and Polo Park. The golf club is fully open to non-members to play golf and enjoy the club.

The clubhouse offers a licensed restaurant & lounge. Our catering capabilities allow you to host tournaments, barbecues, banquets or meetings of up to 135 people. Golf  tournaments, big or small are welcome.

Relax and enjoy a round of golf with friends, family or another member of the club. The club offers Junior programs, Ladies Leagues, Men’s Night and many special novelty events for all skill levels. For the low handicapper Mundie Putter offers the opportunity to represent our club against other clubs in a weekly competitive golf event.
